Wildlife Trafficking Enforcement Symposium
This is a one-day TUITION FREE class designed for prosecutors who engage in wildlife and resource prosecution.  The curriculum focuses upon California Fish & Game Code Section 2022 (possession of ivory or other related materials with intent to sell) as well as other forms of trafficking (California Endangered Species Act) and salient parts of the federal counterpart related to trafficking (The Lacey Act).  The class will teach the attendees how to recognize illegal items for sale and will include, at a minimum, two case studies directly related to violations of this specific California Fish & Game Code Section where the fines can be levied as high as $50,000 for violations.
