A Virtual Tour of the Unvirtuous World of Cyberbullying
In this webinar, Jessica Ferranti, M.D. will provide an overview of cyberbullying defined as bullying or harassment conducted using electronic forms of contact. She will trace the development of the problem by highlighting important cases and legal developments to combat the problem. A range of behaviors contextualizing cyberbullying will be discussed including: gossip/rumors, sexual harassment, disclosure of personal information, exposing photos/videos, hate speech, and verbal threats. Psychological factors underlying and promoting aggressive online behaviors will be identified.
