Not Just a Civil Matter - Inv. Complex Financial Elder Abuse

Not Just a Civil Matter - Inv. Complex Financial Elder Abuse
Gain investigative tools to effectively investigate the more complex financial abuse schemes that disproportionally affect older adults and are often dismissed as “civil matters” – real estate fraud, investment fraud, and money laundering/money muling.  Learn to conduct preliminary field assessments of financial decision making, and discover how Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) can enhance your investigations.  This informative session will be taught by Inspector Andrea Higgens, San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office, Elder Abuse Unit.
