Adult/Adolescent Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner Training
This program is sponsored by the California Clinical Forensic Medical Training Center in conjunction with our training partner, the California District Attorneys Association.  The SAFE (Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner) training program teaches fundamental forensic medical examination procedures and techniques for adult and adolescent victims of sexual assault.  The course focuses on the Cal OES 2-923 Sexual Assault Forensic Medical Report Form, the form required for use in California,  and instructions which constitute the California Medical Protocol for Examination of Sexual Assault.  This course is designed for the inexperienced examiner and teaches basic knowledge, skills and abilities.  The last day to register is February 3, 2020 because there are 14 hours of prerequisite online training to complete prior to arrival at live classroom training. Course Evaluation must be completed in order to receive a Certificate of Completion.

IMPORTANT: 
Students are expected to bring their own laptops or tablets for the History Taking Module. Students will need to have power cords with AC adapters so their devices can be charged during the day. Our seminar room has plenty of AC outlets. CDAA will have a few Apple devices along with power cords for attendees to use in the case of a low battery or personal device malfunction.

Prerequisites must be completed, including post tests for all modules, videos, and webinars with a passing score of 80% or better.  Prerequisites must be completed before 8:00 AM, the first day of class, February 10, 2020.

After completion of registration, you will receive a confirmation email with access to the online training links and password.  You must remember your logon and password to access the prerequisites.  Please write them down when you create an account/profile.

Tuition

 NOTE: First time registrants to a CCFMTC course must first set up a profile to register.  Follow the prompts.  Please be sure to indicate your designation on registration form (e.g. RN, NP, PA, MD). The information entered for your profile determines the information on your name badge, class roster, certificate of completion, and BRN Credit.  If you are registering another person, please enter their accurate and correct information.

All registrations should note that cancellations must be received in writing by January 27, 2020 to avoid the cancellation fee of $49.

A $20.00 fee will be charged to each cancellation regardless of when cancellation occurs.  This fee covers the cost for the UC Davis Extension enrollment.
