This program is sponsored by the California Clinical Forensic Medical Training Center in conjunction with our training partner, the California District Attorneys Association.  The SAFE (Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner) training program teaches the fundamental forensic medical examination procedures and techniques for adult and adolescent victims of sexual assault.  The course focuses on the Cal OES 2-923 Sexual Assault Forensic Medical Report Form, the form required for use in California,  and the California Medical Protocol for Examination of Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Victims.  This course is designed for the inexperienced examiner and teaches basic knowledge, skills and abilities.  The last day to register is July 30, 2018 because there are 10.5 hours of prerequisite online training to complete prior to arrival at live classroom training.

IMPORTANT: Prerequisites must be completed, including post tests for all modules, videos, and webinars with a passing score of 80% or better.  Pre-Requisites must be completed before 8:00 AM, the first day of class on  August 6, 2018. Otherwise, certificates of completion will not be issued to you.     

After completion of registration, you will receive a confirmation email with access to the online training links and password.  You must remember your logon and password to access the prerequisites.  Please write them down when you create an account/profile.

Parking/Shuttle Information

The closest parking lot is a City Lot across the street from CDAA. The daily rate is approximately $20. There is a parking lot just beyond Claim Jumper Restaurant on J Street and a lot on the corner of 12th & I, that offers $10 per day parking.  If you are flying into Sacramento International Airport, Super Shuttle is available for approximately $14 per person each way. In order to guarantee service, you must make shuttle reservations. Call (800) BLUEVAN or visitwww.supershuttle.com.  Lyft and Uber are also available in Sacramento.

First time Registrants Please Note:

First time registrants to a CCFMTC course must first set up a profile to register.  Follow the prompts.  The information entered for your profile determines the information on your name bade and certificate of completion.  If you are registering another person, please enter their accurate and correct information.


Cancellation Policy

A full refund of training registration can be given if cancellation is received 14 days before the first day of training. If the course is cancelled by CCFMTC, attendees will be notified by email and telephone at the email address and phone number provided at the time of registration.  Registration fees will be refunded to participants.  No refund will be given if the attendee fails to contact CCFMTC prior to the start of any training.
